So, the light box has been found.  My husband pulled it out of the one closet in the entire house (really, I'm not kidding) that I didn't check, the "tech" closet where we store all our old computer software, manuals, floppy disks, inactive cell phones, electric typewriter.  And you know how he knew right where it was?  Because he put it in there in the first place.  He may have been a bit baffled as to why I wasn't completely grateful to him for finding it, but I figured he's the one who caused me all the grief in the first place!

So the swap birdies are getting made.  But you know what the ironic thing is?  When I excitedly went to trace the pattern onto my wool felt, it ended up being too thick and I had to find another transfer method anyway.  Crazy, huh?  Still, I really am very happy and relieved to have it back.  Thanks, honey!

A light box sounds very luxurious. I've looked at them and felt envy for those who own them...and then turn around and use the old light box I've used since I was a little person....sticky tape and the window! As long as you don't feel the need to trace after dark it works for me!
