Becca will ask me every so often, "what's the color of the day this week?" She was all over it this time, as soon as she heard the "p" word.
Monday there's no school for Becca, so hopefully we'll be able to slow down and notice the little things, enjoy some free time together. I'm going to try to take this article, written by Molly, to heart. There's been a little too much screaming and many tears around here lately, not enough laughter (or sleep). Breathe in, breathe out, inhale, exhale, take a step back. Ah. Much better.
thanks for the link to the article...it's so true isn't it? i always find comfort in those crazy moments of parenting that i'm not alone. so many other moms have their moments too. i find more patience when i remind myself how quickly each stage passes and then try to embrace that stage, no matter how difficult it may be at the time.
on another note...i love how your autumn pincushion turned out! i know what you mean about finishing last minute...don't we all? xo

All parents face these issues--no one is issued a fail-safe parenting plan upon the birth of their children. We are often bewildered but we do our best using love and reason. I believe that naps are healthy for both child and parent and help, too.
