blue green

I got nothin'.

The best I can do is a picture of my current favorite fabric.  It just makes me happy to look at it.  Mental note to self: incorporate more blue green into my life.  It's really a nice color.

I'm off to finish knitting a couple of Easter gifts for the girls, and wrap up their loot.  I'm trying to substitute books and small toys for candy this year.  That little one, she's much too fond of "dee!" -- her word for "can-dy."

It's been a rough week.  First day of preschool, taxes, bills, three stuffy, runny noses and very sleepless nights.  Work, dryer repairs, wacky weather, looming deadlines.  Brain full of ideas and projects to complete, zero time to craft.

But look what I got in the mail.

My Hearts and Roses Special Swap from Lorinda arrived this week.  All sorts of stuff to decorate and use around the house,

wonderful things for the kiddos (I'd just been reading about that book!),

chocolate,

and, of course, some incredible cotton yarn and the cutest kit I think I've ever seen.  Everything I need to make my own felted Gerbera daisy!  I can't wait to try that out.

Thanks, Lorinda.  More than once this week, when I've felt too stressed, I've had to tell myself to stop and smell the roses.  And what could be better than smelling the very first one from my garden, cradled in that beautiful vase?
