why should kids have all the fun?

Went to a Chinese New Year Festival this morning, and I helped the kiddos make arts and crafts projects galore.

Accordion dragons, paper bag lions, rat masks and paper lanterns.

But this little fellow is mine, all mine.  Such a remarkably well-designed, high-quality paper sculpture, by Hung Hsin-Fu, a paper artist from Taiwan.  It was a free craft project sponsored by a bank, and all I did was punch everything out, fold where it told me to fold, and insert certain tabs into corresponding slots.  There's a bulb inside, attached to a flashlight contraption, which turns it into a lantern.  Sooooo cool.

Becca's a little perturbed with me, she wants to play with it and I won't let her.  Oh well, she'll get over it.

Sometimes you have to keep some things for yourself!

Yea!!! Why should kids have all the fun!! We deserve a little fun too! Sound like you had a good time.

Love the little bunnies and mouse you made. You've been busy. You must be crazy fast with the crochet needles! :)
