bunny's so square
Still trying out things to make for the Race for the Cure/Knit for the Cure event in March. I think I've found it. While my other guild members are knitting amazing fingerless mitts or scarves or teddy bears, I think those are going to take me too long, and I'll only be able to get one or two items done by next month.
But these? I think I could make a ton of these little guys. It's just a garter stitched square, doesn't matter how big, what size needles, type of yarn. My square was probably about 5", made with the most horrible pink "super high bulk brushed acrylic" (from an ebay lot I bought years ago, before I knew any better). Then you seam it up following these instructions, embroider a little face, and there you go. Instant cuteness. After I stuffed the body, I didn't pull up the open end to the neck, I just did a running stitch around the opening, and pulled that tight to create the little pouf at the back for the tail. That way I didn't have to worry about how to sew on a pom pom, or glue, or any of that stuff.
Can't you see a whole bunch of bunnies, in all different colors, lined up in a row? All with a pink bow or something, of course.

Aww ... so cute! I wish I were more crafty!

So cute! And how smart to make all that from a square!

Thank you for the link - they are great.
